A total of 1,874 Local Government workers have so far been promoted by the Anambra State government for 2017.
Similarly, promotion interviews for the council servants for the year 2018 have commenced and about the same number of workers are set to benefit from the exercise.
According to the Chairman Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Dr Sir Peter Egenti, yesterday in Awka, the Anambra State government has concluded all outstanding promotion up to the year 2017.
“Yes we have been able to carry out promotions up till the 2017 and for this year a total 1,874 Local Government staff were promoted and with this, we do not have any pending promotion we have commenced interviews for the 2018 promotion exercise.”
