•Oyediji, child rights campaigner, at 60
Emotion flowed on Wednesday as child rights campaigner, Dr (Rev) Gabriel Oyediji, marked his 60th birthday with a symposium on the challenges of child protection in Nigeria and the way forward. Oyediji, who is also the General Overseer of Christ Compassionate Ministries, at the occasion hosted by the Child Protection Network, Alimosho Chaper, said, “I live with 50 orphans. I am like a father figure. I feel fulfilled that God is using me.”
He narrated how an abandoned baby was picked up in Ikotun area of Lagos that morning to join the children living in his orphanage.
