Mr. Alex Brooker, the publisher of Brooks Sporting Pools and Lotto, a new sports, pools and lotto weekly journal, has said betting is a source of revenue for the Federal Government, capital for entrepreneurs, fees for indigents students looking to enroll for exams and has also turned many away from a life of crimes.
Speaking at the introduction of the specialised journal to newsmen in Lagos, Mr. Brooker said if the Federal Government is not making money from the multi-billion Naira betting industry, their agents and consultants must have compromised, noting that sports betting in the country has come to stay.
He added that the journal, which is in touch with over 20 UK-based compilers, will serve the need of the staking public through authentic pools and lotto forecasts, while monitoring the activities of pools promoters and agents, and reporting same…
