Agoma championship keeps Nigerian taekwondo busy

Nigerian taekwondo legend, Emmanuel Oghenejobo Peters said yesterday more taekwondo talents talents will be discovered through Agoma Open Championship, as the 17th edition of the tournament came to a close yesterday at the Table Tennis Hall of the National Stadium Lagos.

The Championship, which has produced the likes of Ckika Chukwumerije according to Peters, has  been more than just a tournament, but a get together of the taekwondo family annual event as talents are  being discovered and exposed. Peters won silver at the 1992 Olympics where taekwondo was first introduced as an Olympic sport.  “My main aim of organising this tournament for 17 years running now is to discover more talents and keep the sport busy in the country.  “I am also giving back to the sport that made me who I am today.
