Group marks World Stroke Day, sensitises Nigerians on healthy living

In furtherance of its mission to provide services, reduce the incidence, complications and burden of stroke, the Stroke Action Nigeria, a national stroke support group, has joined the rest of the world to mark the 2018 World Stroke Day.

The campaign aims to reduce death, disability and the impact of stroke and Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) in the world, through better prevention, treatment and support. With the theme: ‘Up again after stroke,’ the group paid an advocacy visit to stroke survivors and care givers, at the National Hospital, Abuja.

Also, to commemorate the day, Stroke Action Nigeria partnered Onitsha Life After Stroke Centre (LASC) to organise the second edition of the Anambra State Stroke Assembly.
