Ogun State Police Command has arrested a medical practitioner, Dr. Olawale Raji and one of the nurses in his private hospital, identified as Olusegun Funmilayo that carried out a Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) on a 35 year old woman which led to her death.
The police said they have declared war against medical practitioners who engage in carrying out abortion generally know as TOP without any justifiable reason for such.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu who gave the warning yesterday in Abeokuta, the state capital said whoever that is caught engaging in such practice “without any medical justification” for such will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
