The Rotary International has begun its annual weeklong youth leadership conference in Abuja with participants from across Nigeria.
The 2018 programme, known as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) has been planned for youths within the age bracket of 18 – 30 years.
According to a statement by organisers signed by AG. Fonahanmi Idris, the RYLA program seeks to provide young adults, with an opportunity to develop their skills and character while exposing them to Rotary’s values of service, high ethical standards, and peace.
Idris said “RYLA program is used as a platform to develop the qualities of leadership, citizenship, and personal development among young people in the country.”
The RYLA event is organized yearly by the Rotary International District 9125 to energize the next generation of youth as future leaders.
