A custody battle in Rivers State took a different turn after a police inspector identified as Tuddy Warebayigha shot his wife dead.
The killer cop serving at Kaima Police Division in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, is said to be notorious for his ”erratic behaviour and being an alcoholic.”
It was gathered that his wife Charity, who is a teacher died on the spot after being shot at close range on her legs and stomach after he accosted her over the custody of their 9 children.
An eyewitness told The Nation;
“Sampou indigenes that witnessed the incident, said though the couple were no longer together as husband and wife, the Police inspector usually threatened to deal with the wife. As she was on her way home from the farm, her armed and tipsy husband accosted her and demanded for the whereabouts of the children.
