In unanimous verdicts given today, Nigeria’s Supreme Court upheld the elections of Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa; and Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam.
The court fixed February 15 to give reasons for its judgment in the election.
Since it began giving its final words on disputed governorship elections, the court has been affirming the polls, despite the weighty grounds of electoral violations canvassed against the victors
Tomorrow, the court will also give a verdict on Abia State, which the Appeal Court gave to former banker, Dr Alex Otti and annulled the victory of Governor Ifeanyi Ikpeazu. …Read More
