2 Terrorists’ Commanders Surrender To MNJTF

Two terrorists’ commanders have surrendered to the troops of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the Lake Chad region.

In a statement he released yesterday, the chief military public information, Lt. Col Abubakar Abdullahi, said the two terrorists’ commanders were of the Boko Haram faction of BaKoura Buduma.

He said the terrorists: Ibrahim Muhammed and Auwal Muhammed, alias Wanka, surrendered to the troops of Sector 3 MNJTF (Nigeria) on March 25, 2024.

Abdullahi said the feat is due to the intensified kinetic and non-kinetic operations targeting terrorist groups within Sector 3 MNJTF.

“The two individuals, active commanders operating in the Lake Chad Islands, made the decision to surrender amid mounting pressure from ongoing military actions,” he said.

According to the statement Ibrahim and Auwal Muhammed during preliminary investigation revealed their long-standing affiliation with the faction, “revealing that they had operated under the Bakoura Buduma -led faction…
