The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Lagos State Police Command on 20th July, 2015 at about 1:30pm while responding to a distress call engaged men of the underworld in a shootout at Ilaje village Ajah.
In the melee of the shootout, one of the robbery suspects was arrested with bullet wounds while others escaped. The injured suspect was pronounced dead by Doctors on arrival at the hospital. One Stainless revolver pistol with live ammunition was recovered from the suspect.
The Command says the police in the state are battle-ready to ensure Lagosians and visitors to the state go about their normal business without fear of criminals and their antics as efforts to apprehend other suspects are being intensified.
