Let Itsekiri leaders cede Warri-North chairmanship to Ijaw —Egbema-Ijaw

WARRI—Egbema-Ijaw people of Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, have urged Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to prevail on the leadership of Itsekiri ethnic nationality in the area, especially his predecessor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and lawmaker, Mr. Michael Diden, to concede the chairmanship of the council to the Ijaw.

Leaders and stakeholders of Egbema-Ijaw took the resolution at a meeting in Warri to review the political situation in Warri North.

In a communiqué endorsed by three leaders, Chief Edmond Doyah, Mr Joel Bisina and Pastor Phillip Gbasin, they said that Egbema-Ijaw has not produced the chairman of the council in 26 years.
