ENUGU – INDEPENDENT National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday in Enugu presented Certificate of Return to governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, winner of the March 9 governorship election and those who won the State Assembly election respectively.
The certificate was presented to Gov. Ugwuanyi by INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Enugu, Dr Emeka Ononamadu.
Others who received certificate of return were the Deputy Governor-elect, Barr. Cecilia Ezeilo, and all the 24 State House of Assembly-elect during the March 9th election.
After the legislator-elects received their certificates, the commission called on the Deputy governor-elect her document and then wrapped up the event by issuing the governor-elect his Certificate of Return.
The commission had earlier on 10th March, 2019, declared Governor Ugwuanyi, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state.
