Jigawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigeria-Arabian Gulf Chamber of Commerce (NAGCC), to promote trade and industrialisation in the state.

The MoU signifies Jigawa’s commitment to attracting foreign investment in agriculture and revitalising the Maigatari Border Free Trade Zone.

Governor Umar Namadi and his deputy, Aminu Gumel, led the state government’s delegation, while Chief of Staff to the President of NAGCC, Dr Kassim Gidado, represented the chamber.

The NAGCC delegation commended Governor Namadi’s efforts in promoting investment in the state, particularly in sesame, hibiscus and other crops. They expressed their intent to connect Jigawa with potential investors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
