The Ondo State Government on Sunday symphatised with the family of late corps member, Ibrahim Okanlawon, who died in a boat mishap at Agadagba-Obon,in Ese-Odo local government area of the state during Saturday’s State Assembly election.
The decased, an ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), and his colleagues were said to be returning from Ward II in Agadagba-Obon after completing their duty before the ugly incident occurred.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports tha seven others who survived the boat mishap but sustained various degree of injuries were switfly taken to a community health centre in Ese-Odo.
The Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, who condoled the family, ordered that other victims of the boat accident be transferred to the Gani Fawehinmi Health Diagnostic Centre in Ondo town for treatment.
