Mr Austin Enejamo-Isire is the authentic chairman of the board of directors, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), which will be inaugurated at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on 13 May.
The inauguration of the board today, following a decisive presidential intervention, ends the tussle and scuffle between the Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige and the labour unions over the chairmanship, which was initially given to former NUPENG leader, Frank Kokori.
The Organised Labour under the leadership of Ayuba Wabba accused the Minister of of replacing Kokori with his kinsman Enejamo-Isire as chairman of the board.
The picketing of the minister’s residence by labour leaders using two petroleum tankers to block the entrance led to violent clashes between people suspected to be the minister’s loyalists and the affected labour officials.
