Kogi revenue service denies allegation of N3bn fraud

THE Kogi Stage Internal Revenue Services (KGIRS) on Monday said it was not being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) over alleged diversion of N3 billion belonging to the state.

The organisation also debunked online media reports that the agency diverted the N3 billion meant to be remitted to the coffers of the state government.

The Head of Administration and Human Resources of KGRIS, Mrs Azanat Salihu, described the reports as “fake, baseless and misleading.”

She explained that the monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state had never exceeded N1bn every month, saying the report of N3b was misleading and completely false.
