Presidential Amnesty Office will collaborate with National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, NOSDRA, on disaster reduction programmes in the Niger Delta.
Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator, Amnesty Programme, Prof. Charles Dokubo, who made the disclosure also assured of the readiness of his office to partner NOSDRA towards curtailing the effects of environmental degradation on communities in the Niger Delta.
He gave the assurance in Abuja at a meeting with the Director- General of NOSDRA, Sir Peter Idabor, as he described the plans for disaster reduction programmes in the Niger Delta in partnership with his office as a step in the right direction.
